MATERIALS
The right combination of materials is is the key to a more durable and rideable snowboard. We are constantly researching and testing new materials in order to produce better quality snowboards at lower prices. Being an upstart we are still in the research phases with a lot of our technologies, keep checking back to see the freshest ideas put to work. We know firsthand how much modern manufacturing practices have hurt our environment. By emphasizing well thought out and qualified material choices, we can understand and lessen our impact on the world. Nightmare will constantly strive to test and innovate new solutions in both materials and methods. We will keep our minds open to new ways to reduce our material consumption, re-use existing materials, and recycle our waste instead of just throwing it away.
CORE
Standard
Our standard core profile is made flexible with uniform taper from the outside of the insert packs to the tip and tail.
Thin
Thin cores are strategically profiled for flex outside and inside of the binding packs, giving you a superhuman ability to control your snowboard (recommended for smaller riders).
Wood
Vertically laminated poplar and maple are used for basic core strength, response, and durability. Standard on all models of snowboard. (FSC certified hardwoods used whenever possible)
Foam
Foam provides the strongest and most consistent core material for a lower price. Sustainably produced waste-stream materials. Certified biobased.
COMPOSITES
Triax
Heavy tri-axle fiberglass is used to provide the right torsional flex as well as monster olie and power.
Biax
Bi-axle fiberglass is used for even more flexibility from edge to edge.
Carbon
Carbon is used to shed weight as well as add strength, and can be effective in various configurations.
Kevlar
Kevlar provides an impact resistant layer tough enough to ward off serious core damage and rot.
EPOXY
We have chosen to use a sustainable plastic to create our snowboards. Super sap resin is a certified bio-based two part epoxy that is produced using co-products from wood pulp processing and vegetable oil components sourced from the waste stream of bio-fuel processing. It has been tested and proven by our riders to be better for our snowboards, it is better for us to build with, and it is manufactured sustainably here in the USA. We can't say it better that they can.

EDGES
Rockwell hardened edges (48) provide superior grip and impact resistance around the outside of your deck. Thrash, bash, slash, every snowboarder experiences boardbang, and it's reasonable to think that bashing your board is 100% of the fun. Don't fake that shit, smash your board the way you want to, its your chariot, and you're gonna ride that lightning. It's what we do, the moment you strap into your board you are ready for the bad things to come, fuck what your previous warranty says, it's your choice to snowboard the way you choose, it's also your job to know what you're getting into. Common side effects from boardbang are: total base blowout, total edge blowout, total tail blowout, total topsheet blowout, or all of the above. Blowout usually occurs in four critical areas. Quadrallica puts four edges in your board so that in the event you bash your board into a blowout the repair is easier, less stress and less materials are effected. So in the event your board goes down with the ship, you can get back up, fix that shit, and get back in the game.
